Jabba Jabba Jembe!:)

On Thursday we had a percussion workshop with a company called Jabba Jabba Jembe. It is a company that gives drumming workshops to schools and other occasions. The company was founded by David Day, he has been studying African music for over 10years in Ireland and also with teachers in Europe, the US and Senegal, Gambia, Guinea, Ghana, West Africa.

We played many different instruments but the main focus was the Jembe, which is NOT a bongo. He thought us many different techniques for the Jembe and we played a rhythm called bungalo. In my opinion it was one of the best days we had in TY, i enjoyed it very much and learned alot from it :)
